چکیده
At hatch, 240 male broilers (Ross 308, Aviagen, Sallisaw, OK) were placed in batteries (Petersime Brood Unit, Gettysburg, OH) for a 15-d study to evaluate amino acid digestibility of soybean meal (SBM) from specialty variety soybeans grown South Carolina. There 10 replicates per treatment and 6 cage. Broilers given common corn meal-based diet d 0 9. On 9, weighed, cages allotted 1 4 dietary treatments within location block. Dietary consisted sources varying quality determined by crude protein (CP) content processed into SBM. Two similar region either commercially solvent extracted or experimentally at Texas A&M University. Therefore, SBM with 44% CP (CON) 50% (PCON), 52% (52SBM), 56% (56SBM). Assay diets dextrose SBM-based, formulated supply 20% titanium dioxide as an indigestible marker. 15, euthanized CO2 inhalation ileal samples collected determination apparent (AID) AA. Data analyzed using the GLIMMIX procedure SAS v. 9.4 (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC), pen experimental unit, blocking factor adjusted Tukey-Kramer multiple comparisons. fed CON 56SBM had increased (P < 0.003) total AA, Arg, His, Lys, Thr, Trp compared those PCON 52SBM. Amino acid digestibility in dry extruded-expelled soybean meal fed to pigs and poultry.
The digestibility of AA in dry extruded-expelled soybean meal (DESBM) and regular, solvent-extracted soybean meal (SBM) were determined in pigs and poultry. In the pig assay, 4 Cotswold barrows (average initial BW of 80.4 kg) fitted with a T-cannula at the distal ileum were allotted to 4 semipurified diets in a 4 x 4 Latin square design. Diet 1, a low protein diet (5% casein), was used to quant...
متن کاملAmino acid digestibility in heated soybean meal fed to growing pigs.
Heat treatment of soybean meal (SBM) is necessary to reduce the concentration of trypsin inhibitors, but excessive heat treatment may reduce AA concentration and digestibility because AA can be destroyed by the Maillard reaction. The objective of this experiment was to determine the effects of heat treatment of SBM on apparent ileal digestibility and standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of AA...
متن کاملIleal Digestibility of Amino Acids in Meat Meal and Soybean Meal Fed to Growing Pigs
The objective of this experiment was to determine the concentration and digestibility of crude protein (CP) and amino acid (AA) in meat meal (MM), and to compare these values with the respective values in soybean meal (SBM). Six barrows (initial body weight = 66.9±3.8 kg) surgically fitted with a T-cannula at the distal ileum were allotted to a replicated 3×3 balanced Latin square design with 3...
متن کاملEffects of phytase on amino acid and energy digestibility in corn–soybean meal diets fed to growing pigs
An experiment was conducted to determine whether the effects of phytase on amino acid (AA) and energy digestibility in pigs is influenced by the concentration of dietary P. Fourteen barrows (initial BW: 37.8 ± 4.7 kg) were surgically fitted with a T-cannula in the distal ileum and randomly allotted to a replicated 7 × 7 Latin square design with 7 diets and 7 periods. Six diets were formulated t...
متن کاملIn situ Evaluation of Ruminal Degradability and Intestinal Digestibility of Sunflower Meal Compared to Soybean Meal
The aim of this study was to compare the nutritional value of sunflower meal (SFM) and soybean meal (SBM) protein by determining both its ruminal degradability and intestinal digestibility. Three non lactating Jersey cows fitted with a rumen and T-type duodenal cannulas were used to estimate rumen degradability and intestinal digestibility of SFM and SBM dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP). ...
